The machines were completely obliterated, leaving a smoking bomb hole in the concrete where they had stood just moments ago. The jet quickly flew off, disappearing into the darkness as quickly as it came.

Jodie had never seen anything like it. Jodie couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement, a wave of goosebumps and pride as she saw the humans taking down their enemies with such precision and skill. She realized that this is where she belonged, with the humans, doing what they do best, fighting for their survival.
